Not everyone who is part of my community is an entrepreneur, but everyone needs to know how the world is changing and to ask the question, ‘am I ready for the 5.0 Society’? Society 5.0 is what we become when we gain the ‘superpowers’ of having a digital layer over everything we think, see and touch. It’s what happens when we combine our own thinking with A.I (Artificial Intelligence), real-time data and the power of the crowd.
Some may find this thought scary, but I am sure that this is what many persons felt when the first airplane was built and commercial flights became available. The world is ever-dynamic and, as always, it is how we will choose to use our new ‘superpowers’.
Fortunately, another aspect of the 5.0 Society is for businesses to be as concerned about making profit as they are about making a positive contribution to their community. As part of my mission to maximize human potential, I see it as my duty (and pleasure!) to give back to persons who need my help but who cannot afford it. Wanting to contribute to the evolution of the consciousness of our planet, more and more enterprises right here in Jamaica are incorporating within their business model, ways and means to truly become a force for good in the world. It’s no longer enough to just earn a profit and add dollars to the bottom line.
By raising our consciousness, and giving back to elevate others, we not only help meet UN Millennium Development Goals, but we do our part to ensure that the coming hi-tech, hi-touch society will work in everyone’s best interest.
